This is it, guys…

Exactly 364 days of waiting since Thanos snapped his fingers. We have been on the edge of the cliff for 364 days wondering what happened to our favorite superheroes who crumbled in dust, what would the remaining Avengers do, can they reverse the damage , can they find a way to undo what horrible thing Thanos did, so many questions were bothering us for 364 days and today finally, all the questions were answered.

If I want to sum up the Avengers: End Game in one word, it would be ‘Emotional’

I was ready and pumped up for the larger than life action scenes and witty lines that has become Marvel’s trademark. But I was never ready for the emotional moment this movie threw me into. It was like letting your favorite friend go and trust me it was hard.

Since the release of Iron Man in 2008, I have been seriously invested in the Marvel universe. Sometimes I was blown away by their movies (Avengers, The winter soldier, Civil War, Thor- Ragnarok, Infinity War ) while sometimes I was disappointed ( Avengers-Age of Ultron, Thor-Dark World, Iron Man 3).

The superheroes had become family now, knowing them for more than a decade, hence the emotional parts are really emotional.

So here’s my review on Avengers – End Game ( No spoilers )

What I loved :

  • I loved what they did with Hulk. It was unpredictable and that worked wonders
  • Thor’s character too has been put in a different light and I enjoyed it
  • A fight scene reveals the worthiness of Captian America and that gave me goosebumps ( I was literally cheering during the scene. Very well done )
  • One of my favorite Superhero dies and although it was heartbreaking, I think that gave heft to the entire movie. They have broken the Stereotype of Superhero who never dies come what may.
  • The Past – present catch up was done really well and it was nostalgic and funny to watch.

What could have been better

  • The movie is 3 hours long and the first 60 minutes & final 15 minutes could have been edited better to reduce the length
  • The Time machine thing they did was not super convincing. There was no after effect to any of the superheroes when they go and come back from the past ( A different time zone gives us jet lag, so .. You know .. a different time should definitely mess you up )
  • The final showdown and action were shot in dark & that made the action a little bit confusing and difficult to relish those scenes entirely.

Any story that starts needs to end. This is where it ends. It’s super hard to digest but a lot of my superheroes have completed their cycle. I guess that’s the rule of life as well. However much we like it, it will end one day.

All that matters is DID YOU HAVE FUN.

And I can say that for sure .. I had a hell of a ride.

Thank you, Marvel, Russo Brothers and all my favorite actors who played the part.

We had a great time.
