I watched Tamasha yesterday ( I know, I know .. very late ) and was spellbound by the story and acting of both Ranbir & Deepika. But apart from the movie what kept lingering in my mind is how difficult it would have been to both of them to act as a couple in love when in real life they had broken up. And it would have been difficult to kiss each other as they mean it ( because if you fake it you have to retake the shot until it feels genuine).

The breaking up part in the movie would have been more relatable as they could source the inspiration from their real-life experience. I could actually see the pain in both the actor’s eyes during the emotional scenes that felt 100% genuine which further added to the beauty of the movie.

And that made me realize what a tough life Actors have. When we common people have issues we can wear it on our sleeve and people would understand. But that’s not the case with the actors…Whatever shit storm is happening in their life they have to keep it off the screen and do their job. So any of you who are mesmerized by the glamour and fame of Bollywood should also realize the fragility of their existence and the constant battle they need to wage within themselves and put up a brave face every time there is a camera flashing.

Deepika also has been vocal about depression that the profession brings and I respect her for doing it. It’s not all rosy if you want to make a career on silver screen.

Deepika .. You had a great 2018 and you got to marry the real DON ( Tamasha reference 😛 ) who is as spontaneous or might I say a tad more than that.

You have grown so much as an actor and you have shown the world that a supermodel can be a kick-ass actress as well. I still remember the scene from Om Shanti Om where you step out of the car and wave your hand to the crowd with that infectious smile… that’s when I knew a true queen has arrived in Bollywood.

Have a  rocking 2019 and here’s wishing you a very happy birthday.

You are the Dimple queen of Bollywood.
